These works were written over a period of years during the 18th Century for 6 to 24 trumpets with timpani. They demonstrate innovation and evolution in trumpet ensemble writing specific to dynamics, articulations, technical capabilities, styles, and combinations of differently pitched trumpets. Carefully and scholarly edited by Dr. David Burt, a former member of the Gulbenkian Orchestra of Portugal and a current faculty member at the Escola Superior de M?sica de Lisboa, these works are an important link in the repertory for Baroque trumpets, as well as satisfying musical pieces from the period. This exclusive edition by Dr. Burt is the complete collection published for the first time.
Volume 2 contains works numbers 21 ? 23 and 27 – 37 for six trumpets (in E-flat and B-flat) and timpani. Difficulty Level: Grade IV- Duration: Each piece is ca. 2:00 in length.
